Most young people make naive decisions when it comes to who they choose to live with. Personally, I've been known to make this mistake. Even when you have the slightest hesitation when the idea of living together presents itself, you go through a process of self-denial where you essentially convince yourself that the two of you are a perfect cohabitating match, but the reality is that not all great friends make great roommates, and sometimes living together can become the beginning of the end of the entire friendship.
This thread was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by u/Majoodeh, who shared his story from his naive college days when he had a nightmare of a roommate. After numerous red flags and disagreements, the most egregious act came when the roommate "borrowed" OP's car and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage, initially refusing to pay for any of it. Well, by the time the day came for the end of their lease, OP was prepared for his petty revenge. When his roommate was out, he saw that her laptop and music library were open. OP saw the opportunity to leave his mark and took it.
