Working retail, you get all sorts… There you are, just trying to do your job, and some jerkwad comes up thinking that they're going to get one over on you because you had the gall to work a job where you have to stand for nine hours a day making minimum wage, following the processes you've been forced to follow. And that's the problem with sharing stories online… People see it as a chance to get clout for being a victim, and think of themselves as heroes despite actually being the villains... The problem is that no matter how problematic you are, there is always going to be someone out there who agrees with you, and this serves to reinforce your behavior and leads you to believe that your problematic actions are just and everyone else is the problem.
Luckily, a good majority of comments on this post were putting the original poster in his place and calling him out for his petty actions against a low-level employee who had nothing to do with those decisions. You know I love these threads where the commenters see through the original poster's narrative despite it being told from their own point of view. So much for malicious compliance—right?
