‘I'll show you!’: The most satisfying awkward silence ensues after entitled lady attempts getting snarky with retail employee but ends up proving herself wrong

Oh how the tables have turned! There's nothing more satisfying than when you work in retail and the entitled customer takes themselves to the cleaners. You don't even have to get your own hands dirty.

OP here experienced that bliss while working at a store in the mall. The store they worked at closed an hour earlier than the entire mall complex, thus some customers would get confused. Usually, not a big deal to tell them their hours and then the customer usually says, "oops, okay" and then carries on their own merry way without putting a damper on anybody's day. Unfortunately, that's not the tale for every customer. Ever heard of a little character named Karen? These are customers that are so entitled, they will try to gaslight the employees into thinking they know their closing hours better than them. This entitled customer tried to do exactly that, but instead gloriously proved herself wrong, out loud, staring pompously into the eyes of the employee. She was convinced that they were open another hour, so convinced that she started throwing a tantrum and said she'd "prove it." Instead, she had Siri saying out loud that she was extremely in the wrong. It's rare an awkward silence is satisfying, but this one just sounds like a dream come true.
