Dating isn't exactly an easy science. You can't predict what people are going to be like in person when you're swiping through the apps, and you certainly can't predict what someone's standards are going to be. Even if it seems like everything looks good on paper, you never really know until you start actually speaking to your date. We all know that the way in which someone presents themselves on an app is very different from how they actually think, speak, and act. Moreover, people also tend not to reveal the specifics in terms of how they live their lives, meaning you never really find out about that level of compatibility until you're witnessing your date's lifestyle warts and all.
