There comes a point in many low-level employees' lives when they need to throw in the towel. If you're inexperienced or don't have a college degree, it can be easy to put up with a lot of mistreatment for a while because you know that you might not be able to find opportunities elsewhere. Even so, everybody has a breaking point; nobody can be mismanaged and treated poorly forever and expect to put up with it.
One hardworking HR employee decided to quit her horrible job without notice, and I can't help but support her in this choice. She has a boss who's never in the office, works a measly amount of hours weekly, and makes six figures. Meanwhile, she's paid hourly and works over 40 hours nearly every week. She's managing the information of over 600 employees, and she has all of the esoteric knowledge that her boss lacks. Good on her for putting her foot down.
