It's no secret that Millennials are known to name their kids weirder things than Gen Xers and Baby Boomers before them. I have close family friends who named their daughter "Kaylyn" instead of "Kaitlyn" because they didn't think a CEO would be named "Kaitlyn." They might've been onto something there. For all intents and purposes, my name might be "Emmy," but when I was born, you know darn well that the name on the certificate was "Emily." I know so many Hannahs, Sarahs, and Graces my age and not many McKinsleighs and Braydens. Some of us are blessed to have parents unwilling to resign their kids to humiliation based on their name alone.
One set of young parents chose to name their kid after a villainous character. Not just any villain, but the Naruto villain Konan. Unsurprisingly, their family reacted poorly to this news and couldn't believe they would do something so careless.
