A Seasonal Dressing of 15+ Unpopular Opinions
Tada, November will be gone in a flash, and before we know it, December will be upon us with a big Christmas-y bang, and the holiday shopping season will have us scrambling between malls, trying to find the perfect gift for our family, friends, and loved ones. Christmas carols will be ringing in our ears, our eyes will be blinded by tall, beaming Christmas trees, and our mother will be calling us non-stop, making sure we got the yearly holiday invite as if we would dare not show up.
Holidays are always bittersweet for me, because even though our family gathers around a little spec on planet Earth that is one hundred percent of the time my mother's house, we are far from being your typical, happy, suburban family who brings pie over to the neighbors 'just because'. Nope, at our place, family dinners end in dispute, frustration, and the occasional dramatic 'Fine, I'll go'.
