'Opportunity knocked to pay her back': Exasperated homeowner gets back at Karen neighbor for excessive HOA reports

Imagine paying a premium to work your way into this crazy housing market, purchasing a house from someone who paid a quarter of that amount for it 15 years ago. You're probably still going to be coming to grips with the weight of your new mortgage when you're confronted by your new neighbor, a "lifetime" resident, who regards you with disdain because, for one reason or another, they don't think you're worthy of replacing their longtime neighbors whom they had grown fond of.

  • The reality is that these people hate change and aren't able to come to grips with the fact that change is happening around them all the time, but rather than taking a moment for self-reflection, they're going to wage war against you and make your life a living heck until you throw in the towel and move, taking the financial hit and loss of a quick sale just to get out of there.

    Yeah, this scenario is a waking nightmare, particularly for anyone who is just trying to live a peaceable existence in this world and has no appetite for conflict. Conflict is, unfortunately, what this homeowner experienced from her awful neighbor, who was determined to drown her in HOA reports. She got back at the neighbor by hitting her right where it hurts—her profession.

I found out today that my revenge was complete so I came here to share it. My neighbor who we shall call Chirsty would report us to our HOA for literally everything she didn't like. Trash can still on the street at 5 PM on Trash day, reported. Kids bike outside

Dog barking at 2 in the afternoon as she and her dog walk on the path behind our house, reported.     find physicians. I dug more into what exactly a Naturopathic Physician was and found that in my state of Colorado they are regulated and required to maintain a license to practice. I checked into it and found out the following 1. Christy was NOT in the state database as a Naturopathic Physician 2. The board who regulates it has an online reporting tool

    This is a hot button topic for me and because of that and Christy signing her post as "Dr Lastname" I had to dig some. I for one am a HUGE fan of including whole person treatment. I think Doctors of Osteopathic medicine are wonderful as they work to integrate whole health into the picture with well researched medical best practices.

    At this point Christy locked the post and later deleted the entire thing. I was pretty dang happy that she removed the post, but today it got better. In the mail I received a copy of the cease and desist letter that Christy received form the state about a month ago. It told her that she must cease and desist her "practice" immediately. TL:DR - Neighbor reported me to the HOA for petty things, claimed to be a Naturopathic Physician, reported to state board, neighbor's practice is shutdown.

    whitexknight What the even is a home owners association? If I own my property you why would I want or to answer to some group of give a think? If its not illegal what my neighbors off. If I want my grass 7 feet tall littered with bikes and tires and furniture, off. I would just never live in 25 this lind of place. Reply Share
