The reality is that these people hate change and aren't able to come to grips with the fact that change is happening around them all the time, but rather than taking a moment for self-reflection, they're going to wage war against you and make your life a living heck until you throw in the towel and move, taking the financial hit and loss of a quick sale just to get out of there.
Yeah, this scenario is a waking nightmare, particularly for anyone who is just trying to live a peaceable existence in this world and has no appetite for conflict. Conflict is, unfortunately, what this homeowner experienced from her awful neighbor, who was determined to drown her in HOA reports.
