Do you know a nepo-baby? The term was coined very recently, but "nepotism" has been around since the dawn of material riches. If you didn't know, it's when someone already in power favors someone they know, say a family member, friend, or whatever, and provides them with things like a job. Basically, it means you need money to make money. And I mean a lot of it… To add insult to injury, most nepo-babies will deny being one. They will claim they just worked harder than anyone else and made their way to the top of the ranks all on their own. Dog, my guy, mi amigo, my millionaire in Christ, you started with $300k in the bank, most of us are starting with zero, or in the case of many with student debt, with OWING $40k+ in debt. So, just be honest with yourself.
Anyways, an example of nepo-baby-ism is glaringly obvious in this Reddit post. A former employee to a now defunct company calls out his nepo-baby former boss and how he reeks of entitlement. Through many helpful circumstances, this former boss was able to sell the company for millions of dollars and retire at 55 years old. However, when asked how he made his riches, he contributes it to he, himself, and him. Nooooobody else helped this self-made man! Definitely not any of the privileges mentioned in the story helped him. Nope, just him and his superiority.
