My boyfriend saw this one through and I'm so glad he did. This chick was hired onto the management team with my boyfriend and has been a problem from the start. As soon as she was hired she came in trying to change things and run the restaurant. Turned the employees against my boyfriend,
  • 04
and started causing issue with the schedule demanding certain days off and us over because now he has to work the worst days and she gets all the weekends off. She also talked about me for some reason, because I apparently had too much clOvage. There was no reason whatsoever for my name be in her mouth,

then we have been silently waiting for her to mess up. There was always little things, like messing up the employee schedule, or getting complaints about her from customers. But she finally did something big enough to report.

An employee was irritated with her, and vented to my boyfriend about it. And they spilled all the tea about a night where she demanded money from the servers as a "tip" for her. She's a salaried manager. She doesn't need tips from employees. And it's probably illegal too. She literally demanded $25 from each of them,

then when they gave her that, she said that wasn't enough and asked for $50 each. The ones who didn't give her the other $25 mysteriously got scheduled less the week after. Seriously messed up. Then, my boyfriend heard from another manager and from the customers themselves of a huge wedding party that she was extremely unprofessional and difficult to work with. The guests complained about her 4 separate times.

So, my boyfriend decided to first tell the kitchen manager, the highest under the owner, who then told him to immediately bring it to the owner's attention. Owner compiled a list of dates and employee names. She's getting fired as soon as she gets back from vacation this Wednesday lol.

Hotdogwater88888 OP. 10 hr. ago. edited 6 hr. ago Prolly not, but the owner has compiled enough on her that they don't have to worry about paying unemployment lol.

Edit because I was typing in a rush: some of that info includes statements she made to EMPLOYEES saying "if they don't like what I'm doing they can fire me so I can collect unemployment" apparently multiple employees heard it more than once. 194 Reply Share

DublinCheezie 9 hr. ago Yep. If the owner has half a brain, he will immediately, like within five minutes, reimburse every server she stole from plus the lost wages for those who lost shifts cause she's such a thieving I.

Owner is liable for lawsuit which he will 100% lose until he makes everyone " whole "again. Whole being a legal term for no longer having any damages. Since damages are required for a lawsuit, for $800 $1000 he can eliminate any chance of a lawsuit that will cost him over 10x that amount just in lawyer fees since he will lose, he would also have to pay attorneys for the victims.

Oh, btw, what she did was legally considered theft; taking other people's property against their will. They can and should report her to the police after they give the owner a chance to make them whole. Owner's mistake was hiring a toxic thief, but as long as he cooperates and makes everyone whole or better, I say don't hurt him/her.

Just file a criminal complaint for theft against that .). Obviously, that's not the first time she's done that and it won't be the last of all that happens is she moves to a new restaurant.
