If you have recently gone through a breakup or have separated from a partner, my advice is to stay single for a little bit before jumping into the next big thing. Taking some time alone after a breakup is incredibly important. It helps you understand, heal, and grow into a better human before starting your next relationship. 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying close off your heart forever and completely dismiss love as a whole. Quite the opposite, actually. Open your heart to yourself and learn to love yourself before you love anybody else. Being by yourself in between relationships allows you to think about and reflect on what happened in your past relationships, what you liked, what you didn't, and what you will never tolerate ever again. 

After all, when you're single you have the freedom and space to explore your own self. Instead of relying on a partner to boost your mood, you finally have the time to figure out what truly makes you happy. And let's be honest, being single means that you have no one to ruin your day at 9 am. That's a huge plus if you ask me.
