'You failed to pay me but I'm the bad guy?': Employee fired for complaining about a bounced paycheck from her employer

We all look forward to payday. Whether by direct deposit, check, or cash, depositing the hard-earned money and seeing your banking balance go up is extremely satisfying. You put in the grueling hours of work, so you deserve to finally be compensated. But has your place of employment ever failed to pay you? Or what about this: they gave you a check for the hours you put in, only for the check to bounce when you go to deposit it. Talk about frustrating. 

Well, that's precisely what happened to this OP. The restaurant that she just started working at gave her a bad check. When she went to work the next day and complained to her coworkers, she ended up getting fired at the end of her shift. There gotta be some legal issues involved in that situation.     writing, they sent me a passive aggressive text saying I can't file for UI because I was only there for a probationary period, and a citied a bunch of BS verbal warnings they had given me that I had apprently ignored.

    Edit: Update, they reached out to pay me so I have gotten my last check. The ownwer I spoke with threw the other owner (their daughter) under the bus

    777joeb. 3 days ago Don't forget to write honest reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed, and Google about how they treat employees. Small businesses are particularly concerned with things like that and it will definitely make it harder to get employees in the future. My BIL did this and the company stalked him online and asked his new employer to get him to remove the review (both restaurant owners knew each other). They took his review REALLY seriously lol
