UhOhFeministOn Reddit. 1 day ago Because I'm single, my house is paid off, and I have a decent income. Marriage and children isn't a good option for economically stable women. It's the same for a lot of women. We're tired of working for free, and we're tired of doing it with partners that only do a fractional amount of the childrearing responsibilities despite most households having two working parents. 116 Reply Share

Cyanora1 day ago When I was visiting my nieces and nephews and, immediately after their mother showed me their food bill, one of them clonked the other on the head so hard with a toy we thought we might need to take a trip to the doctor. Way too much energy and anxiety for daily me lol.

iwbia123 1 day ago Whenever parents talk about their kids and only about their kids, I realise they do it because most likely that's all they've got going on, kids are a 24/7 job so a lot of parent's don't have hobbies, or enjoy other activities than just being parents.

KhaosElement. 1 day ago Oh man. So many. My favorite though, is when a coworker gets all excited about "I get to <thing> without the kids!" I've started saying "without kids" at the end of basically everything I do. It caught on, and now all the childless people in my department do it. It annoys the parents to no end, and entertains us to no end.

ItsMeCyrie 1 day ago One of my closest friends that I played video games with every day completely abandoned video games altogether and sold his computer. It's not for a lack of interest in video games, he just can't balance having a kid and keeping time for himself. He says he's happy, but he just seems miserable every time I talk to him now. I already didn't want kids, but seeing him get affected by the very thing that is my worst fear just further solidified it.

BoringNameBoringLife. 1 day ago Starting my job as a substitute teacher. Still love interacting with kids, and I especially love subbing in preschools. Little kids are hilariously blunt. But it's nice knowing that I'll never have to deal with the nightmarish tantrums, exploded diapers, physical aggression, etc. in my personal life. When that happens at the schools, ya send 'em either to the principle/director or send 'em home. I hardly have to deal with it. I plan on never having kids, if that w

Pleasant Pomelo . 1 day ago When I realized I am not someone who values my own life. I always need a reason to live, keep living, and doing things - things I enjoy and want to engage in. But merely enjoying life itself? I have never had that ability for some reason.

The gift of this is that I am not afraid to die, not at all. I don't look forward to it, but I just think the lights will go out and that's it. But if there's a kid involved? Then that changes the calculus and I will become afraid to die, and that is a terrible feeling.
