There's no better gift to get from a company than a Christmas bonus at the end of the year. Well, a bonus is nice at any time of the year, but since December can be an expensive month, it's extra lovely to get a little bit of help around the holidays. I know not all companies can afford to give out bonuses at Christmas, and that's fair, but what's not fair is what happened to this OP.
Since January, she has been told that she will get a Christmas bonus. She had been working extra to earn her bonus, and she was excited to finally have a nice Christmas with her child. She makes minimum wage and is running behind on bills, so this bonus will take a tremendous amount of stress off of her. That is, until 10 days before the bonus was supposed to hit her bank, the company canceled the bonuses for all employees.
