Girl (top) is brave and dumb and loud. Boy kitten is more skittish and apprehensive and quiet. They're still not in their final forms but I wonder if she seems dumb bc she's still a kitten, and if she'll gain some sense, and if he'll come out of his shell more as he gets older Curious how your cats have developed as they got older

Working-Ferret-8476 2 days ago . We think our cat was abandoned by previous owners when they moved, and they may have straight up abandoned him in an empty house to starve. So when we first adopted him, he never meowed; he purred every time he was held, but otherwise was pretty much silent. We moved from one apartment to another, which was scary for him, but once he realized that we had brought him with us and it sank in that we were committed to him, he started to meow all the time. It always s

TheRedHerself. 2 days ago My cat, Moose, is much more cuddly than he was when a kitten. He's 15 now and a complete needy old man. He needs the tub faucet running constantly or he just won't drink. When he was young up to a year or so ago he loved to be rough- housed. But now he naps most of the time. One thing has remained the same...he loves office chairs with wheels. He has a special one without a back that he likes getting wheeled around on.

heedles 2 days ago My parents cat was super outgoing and loved introducing himself to everyone when he was younger. He was the first cat we had that was not bothered by my dad's louder presence (like heavy footsteps and affection that was more suited for a dog lol). We adopted him from the local pound and he seemed super well adjusted to life with a family, so I don't think he was a stray originally. Now that he's older (estimated to be 12ish, we adopted him when he was believed to be around 1-2

Sir-Steam13 2 days ago My youngest kitty, Galahad, was extremely curious. Like, hold me up, so I can look at the ceiling fan, curious. As he got older, he start to pay attention to when I left, and returned from work. It got to the point, he would sit by the door, within 5 minutes of my normal return time. And would I get an earfull, if I was late. Unfortunately, he passed due to an enlarged heart. Which lead to another change, in one of the older rescues, Meow Meow. (Rescued from a drug addict)

NiteTiger 2 days ago The stereotype that queens get bitc..., er, more 'queenly', has certainly held true. She was so sweet and shy as a kitten, and now she rules her house like a tortoiseshelled tyrant. The male trope is that toms turn into cuddlebugs in their old age. Can't confirm that, though.

    - David CantReddit 23 hr. ago One of our cats Raisin, we found abandoned as a kitten. Vet thinks she was about 8 weeks old, so quite feral and unsocialised. She took a little while to warm to us, but she was frightened of everyone else. If anyone came into the house, she would hide behind a press until they left. This was happening for a good year or two after getting her. Fast forward a few years and now we call her 'the social cat'. When people come to the house, she's down immediately to see

HistoryH22 2 days ago · Cora's a pretty skittish cat. When im not around, she will generally hide from people until she realizes it's safe. With me though, she's incredibly affectionate and loves resting on my lap or chest. Most nights she brings toys from the living room to my bedroom as a "look what I can do." Oh, and she likes to beg for human food. She's a menace. P

WavelengthGaming 2 days ago We have a normal cat and then a kitten who randomly walked inside 1 night who was probably about 3 months old. The normal cat doesn't really like other animals at all so the kitten was effectively raised by our Heeler. He will play tug with you, shakes his stuffed animals just like a dog does, and sleeps with the dogs. He's also very vocal as is our heeler. We recently got a new kitten who instantly gravitates towards our dog/cat hybrid but has picked up a funny behav

mayflowerss98 2 days ago Our girl cat took a while to warm up to us even as a kitten which surprised me. She's 5 now so she's grown to be more affectionate but still sassy as ever.

cocobear13 1 day ago . One used to beep/squeak, but now he meows. I think the other cat must have taught him to meow (he came from a breeder with only the same breed who beep/squeak).
