'Our prices are barking mad!': Hoosier Animal Shelter Creates Hilarious Adoption Promo in the Form of a Slimy Used Car Dealership

When you work at an animal shelter, figuring out new ways to get those sweet furbabies adopted is a huge part of your job. You can show all the sad photos with Sarah McLachlan as much as you want, but it gets old. You need to widen your audience. Sometimes that might mean taking the form of a sleazy car salesman.

That's right, a shelter in Indiana, the Vanderburgh Humane Society, recently created a hilarious adoption promo for their pups and kitties. The gimmick? It's down like those low-budget used car dealership ads. Think the late-'80s/early-90s commercials with lots of mustaches and “slashing” of prices. Is it working? We sure hope so, because it's hissterical, pawdorable, and very creative.

The team of creative human volunteers all don fake mustaches and an oversized blazer. They slap sale stickers on the fuzzy bottoms of pets (not actually slap, but you know what I mean). And even have those blowup wiggly guys you always see on the lots of car dealerships.

*slaps hood bum* These bad boys can give you all the love and comfort you'll ever need! If you don't think so, check out the ad yourself below or go to the shelter's website here
