‘I need you here now’: Client demands technicians come in without extra pay on weekend

When a client makes an oversight, the service provider usually swoops in and saves the day, but this time, being the hero meant coming in on a Saturday… And nobody wants to come in on a Saturday! Unless they're getting paid a million bucks, and that definitely wasn't the case here.

The client worked at a medical center, and had had some builders come in and do some work. OP, the person providing service for the client (who we'll call CB) was setting up some equipment for them. CB forgot to call OP about equipment that they needed to be set up, and demanded that OP's technicians come in on the weekend to fix their own mistake.

Sometimes I wonder where people get the audacity to make such demands. OP shared the entire, frustrating conversation on r/choosingbeggars, because the client was essentially demanding not only that the technicians come in on the weekend, but also that they don't get paid properly for it.     Me: Because that's the time our technicians start work, if you want him there outside those hours, it is considered after hours, they're entitled to get penalty rates at those hours, and if you want him there at that time, then you need to pay for it, sorry i'm not sure what is so hard to understand about this situation.
