Posted by u/AltInvestor92 42 minutes ago Cut my hours? Enjoy the fraud charges. I got laid off during COVID and decided to go back to college. Being back in school, I needed a job with flexible hours. Enter, Fast Casual Dining job. Now, I'm not too proud to work barely over minimum wage jobs to pay my car note. I am too old to play games. At first, things go fine. We have an absentee boss. That's fine. The manager is never in, even when the schedule has us overlapping. If I do see our manager, t

Now, what does that mean? Well, they abandon us. We have times that are known to be busy, and they schedule themselves. Then, I'm on closing shift and end up staying late because boss goes home early and... we're short staffed. According to corporate, the boss is in and we don't need more workers. That is exactly the time I take offense. I start asking around. Like, what is going on? Nobody knows. Until I talk to A. A tells me that she has firsthand knowledge of the fact the boss is editing thei

A knows this because she was told by our shift lead, whom she is friends with. For context, this is FCD, every single shift leader is under 22, and the manager is the only person over 40. In my 30s, I'm the second oldest person in this store. Every single shift lead can see her editing time clocks, because they have manager access to fix clocks if someone messes up clock-ins/ clock-outs. None of them will report this, despite personally them over, because they're young and afraid of ticking off

I'm too old for this . I'm on the fence. Until I go from 38 hours a week to 30. To 25. To 22. Big boss is cutting my hours while going weeks without seeing me, and I have no feedback on why. The absentee boss has collectively hung us out to dry and personally dicked me over. I'm not 22 and scared of losing my job that pays a dollar over minimum wage. Come at me. I'll file a retaliation complaint with the state labor board. So, I think on it. Boss is editing their time clock. The layer of managem

corporate will probably ignore it. Goes to our regional team who likely knows. Thinking on that, what do I make a complaint for? Theft. That will likely to a fraud department, not the regional people. The boss is committing theft by editing time clocks. I don't have proof myself, but I will go weeks without seeing them despite them being scheduled to work with me. I know corporate is absolutely not cool with my store manager working 10 hours a week. I do not mention my hours being cut, or other

This is where things got out of hand. Nothing happens for a few weeks. Then corporate stops in with the regional manager. Not just anyone from corporate. The head of our fraud department for the entire corporation. I realize... oh, they were doing something other than editing her own time card. You do not send the department head for fraud out over a single time card being edited. Even repeatedly. This is big.

I wait. Boss is ousted and fired. Finally gets back. It was not just the single time card. Sure, boss was editing her own for hours and reporting OT. The boss also was illegally working minors over state limited hours and editing their time cards down. Repeatedly. Again, everyone the boss has been doing this to is young and afraid to speak up. They'd been breaking labor laws left and right, though.

There was other minor, petty things. At first they thought the boss was having people do training while off work. Then it was not that, instead of paying us for training, the boss was in our accounts and doing our training for us and we never actually did our own training. I guess the moral of the story is don't screw with people's hours when they aren't afraid of you while also illegally Jaround. Whole house of cards will come tumbling down. I do feel bad for the bosses six kids who's parent go

TurtleSandwich0 26 min. ago I bet if you investigated, they wouldn't actually have six kids. They likely used the time clock and took the kids from the workers somehow. Is any part of their life real? 4 8 ↓ Reply Share
