'She expected that I would accept... and offer to plan the wedding': Future sister-in-law stands up to entitled bridezilla and declines being the Maid of Honor

Being the Maid of Honor at someone's wedding is an incredible honor…that comes with incredible responsibility. Sure, it's the bride's big day, but the MOH is supposed to be the one behind the scenes, making sure everything is going according to plan. Nonetheless, standing next to your best friend as they take the next step in their relationship is pretty awesome. That is, unless the bride is actually a bridezilla and they're not actually your friend, just like what happened to this OP.

Her soon-to-be sister-in-law asked the OP to be her Maid of Honor, which the OP found pretty surprising considering they're not close. Well, as it turns out, the bridezilla only gave her the MOH spot because of her party planning abilities, as well as her connections with local vendors (AKA discounts). The OP turned down the offer (more like forced offer) but instead asked to be a bridesmaid. Well, bridezilla didn't like this, and what she did next was pretty sleazy. Keep reading to see how the entitled bride went behind her future SIL's back after the rejected offer. 

Not off to a great start in sisterhood, but at least the OP was actually asked to be in the wedding party, unlike this woman who thought she should automatically be in the wedding party because her boyfriend is the best man.
