Where did the term "cat nap" come from anyway? Well, according to my quick Google search, it seems to have originated in the 1800s when humans observed cats taking short, light sleeps during the day. So, whenever a hooman took part in a short nap during waking hours, it was playfully labeled as a "cat nap." Pretty cute, don't you think?
If you're a fellow feline purrent, you know a "cat nap" is everything short of a nap. It's a whole night's rest and then some. I can't help but envy floofs ability to doze off at any given moment, unbothered by the world around them. And it's pretty dang adorable, too. I know I have hundreds of pics of my cat peacefully snoozing throughout my house. Have you ever seen those shoe holders that hang from the back of a door? Yep, my cat has tried just about every spot imaginable.
However, you have to admit the most heart-melting snaps are when they're snugly tucked away in a cozy blanket. It's irresistibly awwdorable. There's even a dedicated community of fellow hoomans who share this niche love on this subreddit, where fellow feline owners from far and wide gather to share wholesome pics of their feline friends caught in the act of sleeping while cozily tucked in. Yes, this phenomenon has claimed its own unique fanbase, and I'm proudly one of them. Keep scrolling to discover the top 25 tucked-in kitties of the week!
