Remember back in 2020 when everyone thought the world was on its way out the door and things were all falling apart? Well, because of the uncertainty and the turmoil, several wholesome trends took off on the Internet, including the viral sensation of the ‘Electric Love’ trend or the ‘Ruin the Friendship’ trend.

If you're old like me, you're probably wondering what in blazes any of this means, but in essence, there was a trend going around where young people would film themselves hanging out with their best friend (usually a co-ed friendship or something where there was a possibility of a romantic connection) and they would randomly bombard their homie with a smack dab kiss on the lips.

Why not? The world was ending!

Well, this sensation took off like wildfire, with young people randomly kissing each other on camera and potentially ruining their friendships all to ‘shoot their shot’. But it makes you wonder–where are they now? One woman recently begged the question on TikTok and had an overwhelming number of people respond to her video saying that they're not only still with their bestie turned romantic partner, but some of them are even getting MARRIED.
