"She wouldn't stop honking, but I didn't care."

Steal my parking spot? Ok I forgot how much I hate being back in the Philly mainline... but yeh. Drove to an REI to get some final gifts for people. Parking lot is a riot. I drive around in circles for 5 minutes till I see a couple walking out. I follow them, put on

the blinkers and wait for them to pull out. Just as they finishing pulling out a woman driving a Range Rover flies into the spot from the other direction. She saw me waiting, when she slowed down at the end of the aisle (I'm facing towards that end, she was surveying the situation and quickly turned in to snag it).

She sped in so fast that she wasn't able to swing wide and make into the spot on the first try. Shy stops to put it in reverse, and I toot the horn. She ignores me. I lay of the horn. She looks at me with a smirk and then gives the "wut" angry scowl shrug like the meme. Sigh. Fine.

Now she's terrible at driving and fails to give herself room to exit on this record attempt, and I see this, accelerate till behind her. She's blocked and honks. I wait a while for the next persons to get to their car. She's laying on the horn. I can make eye contact with her in rear view. I smirk.

After they pull out and I park, she pulls out a last time, corrects it and finally parks and gets out while I'm walking past. She yells something at me. I look at her, smirk, and give the "wut?" angry face shrug. Wished her happy holidays and saluted.

Oldpuzzlehead - 1 day ago Oh Philly. I really do not miss living there. ↑ 34 ↓ Reply Share Pleasant Studio9690 · 1 day ago On my way to lunch with my friend here in SoCal today, I told her how awful Philly is to drive in and how no one will let you merge in. I don't miss that part of Philly at all. ↑ 19 + Reply Share

Short_Lingonberry549 OP- 1 day ago Had to unlearn using the blinker today. Else you're going nowhere fast. 11 Reply Share Oldpuzzlehead - 1 day ago I went to a 4th of July celebration in front of the museum one year and oh my god the traffic getting out was basically bumper cars. 463 Reply Share

nikatnight · 1 day ago · edited 15 hr. ago I'm ashamed to say I almost fought a dude over stealing my parking spot. I made him get back out and move his car. His lady was not too happy about that but snaking a spot is a big no-no for me. 97 + Reply Share

Plantguyjoe1 1 day ago It's not about the spot...it really isn't. It's about the flagrant entitlement and being in general. People who are an to others have never been properly punched in the face.. and it's something that needs immediate correction in this world. 113 Reply Share

Rachel Silver 18 hr. ago A friend and I went to McDonald's once when it was crowded. The last two open parking spots were next to each other. Right when we got to them, some I pulled his car in diagonally across both spots. My buddy got out and asked the guy to move his car so we could park. The guy got out and told my buddy to go himself. My buddy out. He cold-clocked him and knocked his fell backwards into a puddle.

We ended up going to Wendy's. 26 Reply Share corgi-king 1 day ago I just don't get these people, sure they can steal my spot. But I know where they park and they don't know where I park. Don't they rry to get keyed or a flat in return? I may not do it but if they off the wrong people, who knows what will happen!

Denali338 1 day ago But she was driving a Range Rover and the world does rotate around her. Still, particularly in Philly, you risked your life to prove a point. Great job though. 432 ↓ Reply Share Short_Lingonberry549 OP - 1 day ago Philly mainline. The lady had earrings to her elbows, and enough work done on her face to scare a child. Likely not packing

Im28ness 17 hr. ago In these situations, I like to park near the exit or in a spot where it's easy to get out of the shopping center. Better to have a longer walk than to sit in traffic waiting to get out. 43 + Reply Share

GrannieGreatness - 6 hr. ago This reminds me of an internet joke I saw. It said "I'm bored. Think I will go out and circle the mall parking lot until I get a good parking spot and then sit there with my reverse lights on." Take a bow, you were great. 3 ↓ Reply Share
