As we head into the new year it's time to hit the refresh button on all fronts and that includes dating. Why not leave your previous relationship drama behind and look forward to new, cute crushes to focus on. The start of a crush is one of the best feelings, but also one of the scariest. You want to look your best when you see them, say the right thing to make them laugh of course, and most importantly not trip. Typically when I get the chance to see my crush face to face I've proceeded to spill coffee on my all-white shirt earlier that morning, freeze up so that the only words I manage are "hey", and definitely trip or skip. It's probably some self-fulfilling prophecy I'd rather not get into.

Aside from that scary and very awkward phase, getting to social media stalk your crush also is incredibly fun. Having a girls wine night where you spend most of it dishing on what your crush wore that week and what's new on his social media is half the fun. I highly recommend not skipping this part in the crushing phase since it's critical in finding the courage to actually telling them how you feel.

Once you've caught feelings, there is no going back. You've done your research, made a fool of yourself daily in front of them, and yet they still are the cutest thing on earth to you. Take that leap and see if they feel the same, it's so worth it.
