If you're a dog person, you've probably wanted to adopt a fox at some point in your life. They're like an adorable branch of doggos that are more cat-like, a bit more mischievous, and just as adorable. Then, you did some research and realized that they're really hard to keep as pets, and you forgot all about the idea. But not this Redditor, he adopted a puppy that looked like a white fox, and was never really sure if his dog was actually a pupper or a fox breed. As the doggo grew up, his curiosity peaked and finally did a DNA test to answer his nagging question.
Turns out his doggo is not a fox, but a descendant of a pre-modern dog breed called a "Village Dog" - these types of dogs eventually led to breeds like German Shepards, Border Collies, etc. So, no foxy surprise here, but a surprise nonetheless! Scroll down to see some pictures of this adorable fog, or dox, or Village Dog, and the howlarious comments from some silly Redditors giving their hot two cents on the whole thing.

The picture on the left is the puppy, the picture on the right is a white fox. You have to admit, they are pretty darn similar. If we adopted this doggo, we also wouldn't be sure if it was a fox or not. Whether it's a fox or a dog, it's 100% cute!
Wow, that is one of the most majestic tails we've ever seen! That thing should go in a tail hall of fame, recorded for all of time for people to appreciate its fabulousness. Now it looks more like a dog, but definitely he still has some fox-like qualities!
