Thatsaclevername 8 days ago When I go to bed I throw my PC on sleep mode usually, then I'll wake up, shake the mouse to wake the PC up, and go about my morning including feeding my cat. Sometimes when I'm in bed the PC will turn back on and I'll get up, turn it off, go back to sleep.

My cat keyed in on this, that the PC turning on wakes me up. So if I'm being indignant in the morning (trying to sleep until my alarm clock goes off) and Barry (the cat) isn't having any luck waking me up the usual way (putting his paws on my face and meowing while I ignore him) he'll go rub on the spacebar and turn my computer on.

One time I left for a week and my roommate watched over him, I turned the PC all the way off. When I came home there was a bunch of Barry hair on the spacebar, he tried waking me up when I was gone and it broke my heart.

crayonsocialism. 8 days ago That is precious. My cat Moxie has figured out that I hate things being pushed off the dresser, and will try to get me out of bed early by finding something to push closer and closer to the edge of the dresser without actually pushing it off, pausing between pushes to look over at me and check if it's getting a reaction. I realized just how smart she was when she pushed something all the way up to the edge, paused for a second, visibly realized that if she pushed it o

Dicksperado 8 days ago We scold our cats if they go on the kitchen counter. One day I hear a cat moewing, and meowing and he just wont stop. I go the the kitchen to find him on the floor, meowing and staring at our other cat on the counter. This mf is a snitch!

J8766557 8 days ago. edited 8 days ago Caught my late grumpy old lady cat holding the cat flap shut to prevent my other cat from coming in from the rain. She was holding it closed with exactly enough pressure to keep him out but not to make any noise. The second she saw me watching she pretended she was just stretching. She totally knew what she was doing.

acidic tab 8 days ago My cat noticed that I would tap my husband on the shoulder if I wanted to get his attention (he uses headphones often). He started mimicking this, and now reaches up and taps us on the arm like a toddler would to get our attention. It's pretty adorable (and effective!).

Loading_Username_001 8 days ago Dog comes into the room before bedtime. Looks at me. Me: "hi pupster. do you want to get your toy before you go to sleep? Its in the living room" Pup: trots all the way to the living room, gets his toy, comes back and plops down on his bed. I knew he could understand a lot of what I say, Id talk to him like a person - but my roommate had her jaw on the floor. She was like - "he understands English??" I'm like "I guess so" lol

lastfreethinker 8 days ago edited 8 days ago My dog wanted food, despite it being hours before feeding time. She gave her bowl a nock, I told her it was too early. She gave a light bark, I told her no, the baby was sleeping...she walked over to our daughter sleeping and looked at me right in the face then gave a quite WOOF. She threatened us right then and there...

Apprehensive-Bet2081. 8 days ago My husband and I will be having a conversation, and our dog will sit on the floor between us and make noises (not barking) looking at each of us in turn. EVERY TIME ! She truly believes she is talking and part of the conversation. Never had a dog do this before.

Dark InkPixie - 8 days ago I have a cat that has to be in the middle of my husband and I when we're on the couch. He will ignore us for hours, and as soon as we cuddle up real close, there he is meowing to get between us so he can put his front paws on me and lean into my husband, like he's trying to push us farther apart Imfao He's my needy baby, he does it when we're asleep too

tonicwater 8 days ago My mum has sworn for years that their cat can tell what day of the week it is! My dad and siblings work a 'regularly irregular' schedule, in that they work late certain days, leave earlier on others, and are off on weekends (but it's consistent from week to week, and has been for years). In any case, without fail, the cat will be waiting for

the door within 15-20 minutes of when they're supposed to arrive home on any given day, and will even let them sleep in later on weekends before asking for breakfast (She also knows when they normally get up during the week, of course). I've witnessed this phenomenon myself on several occasions! Holidays do mess with her timing, so she'll be a bit off for the next week or so, but she always seems to figure it out again.

jets3tter0948 days ago My beagle hates taking pills. He's too smart for the pill pocket treats, wrapping it ham, putting it in his food, etc, so I have to shove it to the back of his mouth and then rub his neck to stimulate swallowing. Well one time I was giving him his motion sickness medicine for the car. It takes an hour or so to kick in and it calms him down (he almost looks stoned). I give him the pill, he swallows, all is normal. An hour passes and he looks high as a kite. When he gets up

jinhsospicy 8 days ago I once had a Blue and Gold macaw. He use to play on top of his cage with all his toys. At night we would put him to bed and lock the door. One night after putting him to bed, I could hear him playing and chatting to himself. I went back in, and while he had been out during the day, he moved the latch locking the door where you can add a nesting box. The part that was most impressive was that he only moved the latch so it could be opened from the inside of the cage (normall

BoneCollector8 - 8 days ago Once our 6 month old puppy distracted my wife by stealing one of her slippers. She chased him across the room. He drops it, then runs over to her cereal she was eating and goes to town! It was hilarious!

just_a_wee_Femme So, I had had a big tattoo done this past Friday. My Cats hadn't seen it at all - wore pants Day One. —, but they just immediately ran-up to me, started sniffing the exact spot, and proceeded to basically guard me, ever since. 8 days ago . I'd removed the Saniderm last Wednesday? My Cats just waltzed-up to me, started sniffing the tattoo — wearing some shorts, instead. -, like they were checking-up on my wound's progress healing-wise, and are still guarding me, but from a distan

esoteric_enigma . 8 days ago Cat had an unreal sense of time. We got her an auto feeder that dropped food at programmed times. Within a couple weeks she knew exactly when the food dropped. She would come and sit by the feeder within 5 minutes of the programmed time like she had a fu ing watch somewhere.

whenwewereoceans 8 days ago Lived with a roommate, I had 2 cats and she had a cat and a large dog. The dog was bell trained, so at the back door we kept bells for him to ring when he needed to go outside. My older cat LOVES to go outside and eat grass, always hangs out by the door hoping for a chance to get out there. He caught on that the dog would ring the bells and be let out, so my cat started ringing them too! It was so cute watching him knock around those bells with his little head.

EchoNeko 8 days ago My cat does something similar to this but it's not even tied to the clock, it's so weird. I'll be with friends for an outing and I'll start driving home. 5-10 minutes into the drive I'll call my grandparents and get told "yeah she woke up 15 minutes ago and has been watching the windows and meowing". She just knows when I'm coming home. Even when I don't call, my grandparents are waiting for me because she starts getting worked up when I'm on the way home!
