Who gave the people born from 1900 to 1925 the right to call themselves "The Greatest Generation." Most of them are not alive to defend themselves, but I don't think they're all that great. First of all, they were the parents of Baby Boomers. That should be enough to take the title of "greatest" away from them. I don't want to go too hard on these people because they had tough lives. Many fought in World War II, lived through World War I and survived The Great Depression.
