Nothing is worse than someone who thinks they are the exception to every rule—especially when that person is your sibling. And, if you think you are the exception to a rule when you haven't been told explicitly such... You probably aren't.
It's important here to take a look in the mirror and realize that each and every one of us does this to an extent. It should come as no surprise that a lot of these involve driving. "Speed limits? But I'm a good driver; I can drive 5 or 10 over safely!" or "It's ok if I look at my phone while I'm driving; I know what I'm doing!"
This bride's brother has a four-year-old son, who is the "miracle baby," the pride and joy of the extended family. Because of their child's status, they thought that he would be allowed to come to their wedding—despite the that the wedding invitations explicitly said that it was child-free. When the bride tried to explain that there would be no exceptions, there was chaos and arguing in the family—now, her parents have said they won't go to the wedding either… What the heck?
