Awwdorable Black Kitten That Was Stuck In The Sewers Of Dunkin' Donuts Gets Rescued And Will Never Have To Go Hungry Again

Have you ever felt an intense craving for a midnight snack? Have you ever caved to that craving? Because the person in this adorable thread has, and although you may think that the only consequence of giving into that craving is… having a delicious snack, for this person, it was not true. No, the cat distribution system was working that night, and instead of getting a a donut at Dunkin', this person got adopted by a cat named Dunkin'… and possibly also a donut. 

Hey, when a cat decided to adopt a human, there is nothing in the world that can stop it. Once a cat has chosen you, you have no choice left. But don't think of that as a burden. Don't think for a moment that your life will be impeded by being chosen, because it will not. Adopting a cat is the best thing that you can do for yourself, and sometimes, the universe knows that even before you do, so it simply sends one your way.

    We love this story. Honestly, it might be one of our favorite cat adoption stories of all time. So much effort went into this story. The universe knew that this cat would need a little extra help to get to its designated furrever home, so it sent her way one of the kindest, most amazing humans that we have ever read about.

    Late night cravings for Taco Bell led me to discover this cat, living in the sewer drains between Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell. She was crying but wouldn't let me approach. I started regularly bringing food to her, and when we hit sub-freezing temps this past week I couldn't stand to let her stay out there anymore so I called around to local rescues asking for help trapping her. I got a lot of good advice, borrowed a trap, and spent 3 nights in a row sitting in my car watching the trap from 10pm-

    And what makes this story even better to us is that it's a black cat. So few black cats get adopted every year in comparison to other cats, so we can only imagine how few of them get rescued off the streets. It's another tiny thing that makes this story pawsome, and all we can do is say thank you and hope that this story will inspire even more people to do the same thing.

    At 5:47am yesterday morning, I caught her. I'm keeping her isolated in the bathroom for now but she's already turned into a total lovebug. I have two other cats who are solid white, one of whom has cancer so I do have to be extra cautious about disease and safety. Regardless, whether I hopefully get to keep her or simply foster until her furever home is found, she'll never be living in a sewer again

    Dunkin' has had her first vet visit! I heard so many people on my first post worried about her health so I thought I'd update. She's been poked, prodded, and loved on by our wonderful vets office. Came back negative for FIV

    nose She has frostbite damage to the tip of her tail, ears, and but the vet expects a full recovery. If the tail, which is the worst, doesn't heal well then she will need but he's thinking that it should amputation heal alright and we have treatment for it to help encourage healthy skin growth.

    She's had her first round of vaccines and dewormer, she needs to continue in quarantine for 2 more weeks but then we can gradually introduce her to the boys. Her spay is scheduled for the end of this month. She's also gotten medication for an eye infection which has thankfully been caught early so again, should be able to fully recover quickly.

    She's got all her adult teeth which means she's roughly 5 months, but small for her age at almost 4.5lbs. She's just going to be a small cat, unlike our boys who are giants (not overweight, they're just big cats). Hopefully they'll be good big brothers to her

    Most importantly, she's found her furever home with me and will never go hungry or be out in the cold again. Plenty of food and all the warm snuggles she could ask for.

    Glittering_Act_4059 OP• 2d ago I actually rescued her myself! No adoption, just several sleepless nights of watching a trap in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot She hasn't spent any time in a shelter thankfully, but my other two cats were adopted from a shelter.
