If you're the type of person who doesn't participate in awards show culture because it's, well, stupid and pointless, I don't blame you. But there is definitely something fun about participating in the stupidity and pointlessness every once in a while. The Grammys have long been a cultural vacuum, puppeteering for music industry higher-ups, and nominating artists whom some of us have known for years under the "best new artist" category.
But the Grammys are also useful in offering some fun pop culture moments for those of us who love music, and this year was no exception. With Tracy Chapman returning to new triumph with her decades-old song, to Joni Mitchell performing at the Grammys for the first time ever, and yes, to Taylor (no last name needed) announcing a brand new album… this year fed us. But, if you were sitting at home glued to the TV or having fun doing anything else, we've got you covered with some good Twitter fodder about the ceremony.
