I've never been a car girl. I see cars as a means to an end, and I don't get excited about what they look like or how much money they cost. The few times I've gotten into a Tesla (they've been Ubers) I'm always confused about where the door handle is and make a fool of myself trying to get in. Sorry, that expensive car is not worth it if anybody I drive in it will feel stupid! So I will never truly understand the people who go out of their way for the best and the fastest cars, especially if they are having a hard time with rent.
That's exactly what happened in this recent story from Reddit about a (what seems to me like a nightmare) relationship between a car guy and the woman supporting him. Combining finances as a couple is a tricky territory, and maybe this couple isn't cut out for it.
