'My parents did the best they could': A Wholesome Discussion About Hard Realities Women Have Come to Accept

Nobody promises you that life is easy. What goes up must come down, and vice versa. I wish that I could say that life will blossom in a linear fashion, but unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way. Everyone is always on about loving yourself these days, and even though I've resisted that notion for quite a while, I think I've finally come to accept that life gets pretty awesome when you enjoy your own company. When you look in the mirror and smile at what you see. When you stand up for yourself because you know you deserve better.

Today I was scrolling through r/askwomen, and I came across this emotional thread. After reading through all the comments left by women from all around, women who are just like me, in so many ways, and yet also so different, in many others… It really touched my heart. Hopefully, it will touch yours, too.
