'He has no idea why [he's been] singled out': Office jockey gets payback against the workplace killjoy by making a generous contribution

Working with the same handful of people every day really makes you think about your social circle. Your coworkers are not necessarily 'friends' because you don't choose to hang out with them, but you certainly don't want to be making enemies in the cubicle next door either. In the workplace, employees walk a fine line between professional relationships and their personal lives– however, there's always that one coworker who doesn't know the difference. 

In our next story, one coworker had taken things a bit too far in the workplace, dragging political beliefs and overt killjoy energy to the entire office. After months of putting up with uncouth behavior and noisy rants, u/saltyhumor decided to get a little petty revenge to get back at the one coworker without any boundaries.     So there is this guy at work that often annoys me and will make my day more difficult, seemingly, just to be difficult. But he doesn't actually break any rules or policies so there is nothing anyone can do. And, I hate to admit this, but he is quite good at his job. But he is just a most of the time.

    Anyway, he is a huge supporter of political candidate A and political party A. So I made a small financial contribution to political candidate B and political party B. I used his name, phone number and address. (I have his phone number from work and addresses are public information if you are a registered voter.)

    Now he is getting all kinds of solicitation of support for people and causes he hates. It is really getting him fired up and he has know idea why, out of nowhere, the other side has "singled him out".

If I'm going there anyway that one annoying hateful coworker I had? Yep. Signed them up for everything. From free window quotes to blood glucose monitors they're still getting calls.

    Jealous-Currency 9 hr. ago This will even show up in any wealth screenings ran in his name FYI which could make it even funnier, I work for a non profit and there are systems to screen any donations made in peoples names lol and it'll just show the amount and actual political campaign he "donated" to

Organizations that support services for women, immigrant, legal aid funds, any sort of help for the people your coworker is about. It's one thing to be mad about some things, like Scientology, but kind of hard for coworker to express they're big mad about organizations women who experience domestic violence, or kids not starving to death.
