Take a deep breath, fellow DnD lovers. This isn't looking good.
Hasbro's fourth-quarter financial report shook investors to their core as shares plummeted substantially, prompted by lackluster revenue figures and a daunting outlook for 2024. To tackle these hurdles, the company aims to cut costs by a whopping $750 million dollars. So what awaits us, this 2024? Well, the outlook suggests more drops in revenue (sighs), projecting a 15% decrease to $1.29 billion for the entire year. While there was an uptick in revenue for the Wizards of the Coast and digital gaming division, it unfortunately fell short of compensating for the overall decline.
Of course, someone had to go make a post about this on Reddit, asking fellow DnD players what they thought of the whole situation. Voices chimed in from all over, and you can check out what they wrote below in a series of screenshots. Next, check out these Dungeons and Dragons memes… You know you want to.
