DW171 14 hr. ago What's with all the passive aggressive "welfare checks" from employers these days? 370 Reply Share Training-Emu-7568 OP 14 hr. ago I think it's probably because they can't possibly fathom that anyone would dare quit without 2 weeks notice. Therefore we must all be dead or incapacitated. Couldn't possibly be that we just don't want to work there.

Dranak 6 hr. ago People mistakenly presuming that the only reason someone isn't responding to their messages is something terrible happened to them. Every time someone no show/no calls I have someone suggest calling in a welfare check.

DW171 15 min. ago So calling the cops, rather than reading the last messages from them or going by yourself, if someone was really concerned. Calling the cops is akin to swatting, especially if someone told you why they were going no contact.

Sanbaddy 17 hr. ago I'm glad you didn't give them a two week notice. Do they give us a two week notice before they fire us for profit? Nope.

1re_endacted1 16 hr. ago You could have literally told them you gave them 2 weeks notice. I don't think they would have known the difference. Should have just titled your email, Second Notice 88 Reply Share Training-Emu-7568 OP 16 hr. ago Very true!

Square-Ebb1846 13 hr. ago You should tell the police it was an intentional false report to punish you for quitting. They essentially just SWATed you. 39 Reply Share The Dallas Reverend 12 hr. ago Depends who he worked for. They may have had reasons to suspect something was up.
