Dogs being as friendly as they are is part of why we love them so much. How could you not? Dog will make friends with literally anyone. Dogs will make friends with cats, even if the cat doesn't want to at first. Dogs will make friends with horses, big or small doesn't matter. We have even seen a dog become BFFs with a wild dolphin as it was at the beach, as unlikely as that sounds. These doggo friendships are something that we absolutely love, and never did we think that they could get us - and our dogs - into trouble.
The lesson learned from today is - let your dog become friends with almost every other animal. A skunk though… might not be the best idea to let them get too close, because did you know that skunk smell takes about two years to come out of a dog's fur? We didn't, and neither did the person whose dog got sprayed in this thread.

The punctuation in this tweet is really what makes it for us. Just having your dog get sprayed by a skunk would already have us panicking… but then to find out that the smell will not go away for two years… yeah, we get it. We would have been panicked as well.
Again… yep, we get it. No tomato sauce but got some diced tomatoes? Couldn't hurt, right?! Just plop them on the dog and hope for the best. Honestly, funny as this whole situation is, we're just happy that the dog seemed to have a good time eating his canned tomatoes.
