Where I used to work the last person out had to lock the cupboards that contained confidential customer information, even though they were behind the front door and then lock the front door after exiting.
  • 04
This woman who worked there who was always first in was constantly trying to prove to management that she was a committed company woman by saying the last person hadn't locked the cupboards and could we all make sure we put confidentiality first, like she did. She

accused me a couple of times of not locking up when I know for sure I did. So I worked late on purpose and videoed myself on my phone locking everything up, then I deliberately unlocked one of the cupboards but obviously didn't film that bit!

Next morning she reported it and when they asked who was last out I showed them the video and explained that I made the video because I was sick of being accused falsely. She got into trouble for lying and she stopped accusing us. I genuinely think there may have been times that someone actually forgot to lock the cupboards but she was too scared to legitimately say anything

Grouchy-Ad4338 · 6 hr. ago Good one. You gave her a dose of her own medicine. I know a few people like that who are always trying to prove that they are better than everyone else and would go to any lengths to prove that.

graybreak OP. 6 hr. ago This is so true. I've seen a coworker get accused by another coworker of being involved in an incident and when management checked he was on holiday abroad at the time so he couldn't have. She didn't even get into trouble because she was a up to management.

Bawkalor 3 hr. ago . For years I had a sign in my office that said, You cannot make yourself look good by making someone else look bad. 75+ Reply Share graybreak OP 3 hr. ago I absolutely love that. Can I please borrow that!!

Striking-Version1233 - 2 hr. ago Wait... so you knowingly didnt do a thing, had evidence to lie with, and when you got called out you lied about a coworker accusing you?

Numerous_Exercise_446 hr. ago Sometimes, people are full of their own self-importance over small issues in their workplace. They like to make a big deal out of things no one else really is too concerned about.

Sometimes, others are sucked into their enthusiasm, so it made me laugh to see that she was tricked into being shown to be a liar.

EqualDig2776 . 4 hr. ago Thats good. But also wrong. Should have kept it locked and see if she lied. 16 Reply Share graybreak OP. 3 hr. ago Great reply but wrong. There was no need to see if she would lie, she had a track record of lying. But I

thought that was obvious from my OP. Just to be clear she lied in the past. Look at the original post. This was revenge for her lying in the past not for future lying. Cheers

epicmudcrab 57 min. ago OP framed their coworker and is too blind to see that they are in the wrong. This is despicable. 13 Reply Share graybreak OP. 50 min. ago Lol. You misread the post and completely missed the part where coworker lied about me and lied about others and I took revenge.

Proud_Huckleberry_422 hr. ago I had a co-worker who was super jealous of me. He would lie about me, steal my work, spy, etc, etc. But the boss always believed him, because John sucked up to him, and John had been with the company for 5 years before I came.

graybreak OP 2 hr. ago Coworkers like that are annoying. But you know, you got the last laugh because you're in gainful employment and always will be. Karma has a way of looking after good people.

yureckey 2 hr. ago OP deliberately framed coworker and lied. And somehow it is approved and cheered. , people? OP is totally no better than this person. Post should belong to the amitheasshole

Fiend_Nixxx. 3 hr. ago Good for you :) Serious question, tho... why did youy go back and unlock one? Was it to ensure she'd say something and you'd have the video on hand?
  • 23
graybreak OP. 3 hr. ago It's because I was sick of her falsely accusing us. If I had locked it then you could have any of the following situations: 1. I lock it, walk away, she accuses me of leaving it open, I doubt myself and assume I left it open by mistake.
  • 24
    2. All of the above but this time she thinks I will doubt myself and assume I left it open by mistake. 3. She knows full well that I know I locked it and that I know she got me into trouble on purpose.
  • 25
I wasn't happy with any of the above scenarios and the potential there was for it to continue. The way I did it killed it in its tracks. She knows that I know I set this up with the video and that the cupboard was opened
  • 26
retrospectively. The video proved I was prepared to act as deviously as she was. She would never know in future if a trap had been set or if a video was in existence waiting to disprove her lies so she may as well quit. I thought that was obvious from the post but clearly not, so that's the answer.
