‘You stole my spotlight’: SIL Asked to Leave Early at Baby Shower on Account of Being ‘Too Interesting’ And Ruining Host’s Event

Jealousy is a fundamental emotion that most of us have at least a bit. Some people feel it here and there, and some people have a raging intense jealousy that dominates their everyday behavior. When you can't even enjoy an event because someone else is getting 'all the attention' you know it's gone too far. 

To be fair, there's always two sides to every story. If it's your baby shower you want to be showered in attention, you want to feel important and loved. You also (I presume) want your guests to be happy. So what happens if you have one guest in particular who's stealing all your spotlight due to their interesting life experiences? Do you tell them to leave? Do you someone create a diversion and steal back the show? Maybe asking them to leave is a little too far…sure, you want attention, but why do you have all these people here in the first place if you basically don't care about them?
