Ex Girlfriend Cheats On Her Boyfriend, Kidnaps His Cat Then Abandons It When It Gets Sick, Leaving The Cat Alone And The Boyfriend Baffled

As a cat owner, whenever you start dating someone new, you're always slightly worried about the reaction that your partner will have to your cat. Will your new girlfriend mistreat your cat somehow? Will your new boyfriend be jealous of your cat and all of the attention that you give it? Or will your new partner who didn't like cats suddenly fall in love with yours the way that you dreamed would happen? 

We have heard of all of these scenarios happening - from the good to the bad. In fact, we have read so many stories like these ones that we didn't think it would be possible to surprise us, let alone shock us, but the story that we will be covering today somehow has managed to do both. We are only glad that this man who didn't like cats at first fell in love with this one so much that he was willing and happy to take care of it after everything that happened.

    Just this title… already makes the story sound crazy, but we promise you that it is even crazier than this. We have seen some weird stories of conflict between partners and their cats sometimes, and this one is definitely up there as one of the most ridiculous.

    My ex brought home a stray cat, I wasn't really much of a cat guy, but this little girl changed that very quick. She couldn't stand my ex and always wanted to be around me and that drove her nuts. Long story short, she cheated on me after I bought us a house. My ex was basically going to be couch crashing and while moving her stuff out, kidnapped the cat. I thought it was kind of crazy and tried to contact her, but she blocked me. I was pretty upset because I grew to love that little cat.

    Four months go by and some girl messages me saying my ex stole a bunch of from her and ran off, leaving the cat behind. This girl says that she can't take care of the cat and I need to come get her or else she's going to a shelter.

    Never hopped in my car so fast. Brought home the cat and She's loving it back at home. I figured I better take her into her vet for a check up. She had a minor case of gingivitis from before she was kidnapped, and I was combatting that by using a finger brush as well as giving her dental food. I guess my ex was too busy stealing and participating in general ratchet debauchery she forgot that she kidnapped a living thing that requires care.

    Vet says she will have to get a major cleaning and an x-ray, and depending on the results may need some teeth extracted. I am absolutely livid. The money isn't a problem, I'm just really upset my ex pulled this crap and I suppose this is just a bit of vent.

    Kidnapping, cheating, injury… all of it. The only thing that we can say here is that we are happy that this cat had at least one loving and caring owner who was willing to drop everything to go tet it back and take care of it when it needed help. Thank you.

    countryKat35612 . 4 days ago Even if your kitty hadn't been kidnapped the dental issues were there & likely wouldn't have been noticed until an extensive vet exam. Cats are very, very good at hiding their aches & pains. Your ex was terrible for taking your baby. I'm happy y'all are back together.

    suprisedkittens 4 days ago While it's obvious the ex was a terrible person I am uncomfortable with the notion that someone can own a pet, but bc their bf likes the pet it is now "kidnapping" If she was the rightful owner she did nothing wrong by taking her cat.

    She obviously wasn't fit to be owning the cat at all but it needs to be clear that partners cannot steal pets that are legally yours just because they like said pet. Had she been a normal person and a good cat owner, OP would have been harassing her for taking her cat that she rescued with her. That would have been messed up.

    That's part of the reason all my pets are microchipped in my name. I had a manipulative ex and I'll never risk a bf trying to take one of my pets bc "the pet likes him." Or whatever.

    GabagoolOvaHeree OP. 4 days ago The cat is micro chipped under my name. When we first got her, she had an overgrowth on her elbow bone and had to have surgery done, and I fronted the money out of my own savings.

    My ex drunkenly carried her outside and dropped her, was so annihilated she passed out, and I spent the next six hours looking for her only to find her under a bench down the street. I scooped her up and walked her all the way home.

    GabagoolOvaHeree OP. 4 days ago I suppose it's more so that the problem was minor and was being managed, even her vet said her teeth were looking better....until she was kidnapped and now the teeth are so bad she might have to have some extracted.

They like the calm and reserved more than excited and enthusiastic, especially when they're getting to know you. Glad she's back home where she belonged.

    Borodo 3 days ago I was the same way, I hated cats until my girlfriend (now fiance) got a cat. First few months I couldn't stand the little gal, but damn did she grow on me. Now I would do anything for that cat and I am firmly a "cat person". I truly believe that anyone who says they hate cats simply hasn't met that one cat that will change their mind.
