tyRAWRnnosaurus • 12h ago We have a dog sitter that comes and stays in our home with our dog. I know it's beyond some people's comfort zone, to have a person staying in their home. Some people think it's strange. My dogs comfort is more important to me though, so we get over it. I'd prefer her to stay where she is most comfortable with her usual schedule if she is going to have to be without her people for any period of time. Plus, there is nothing in my home that is more important to me than my

Latter-Shower-9888 13h ago I drive as often as possible so I can take her with me. Otherwise she stays with my sister. 425 ↓ Reply Share 1KinderWorld • 12h ago My dogs are with me 24/7 because I work from home. Bought a 24' travel trailer so that we can vacation with them. 423 ↓ Reply Share

Blakesdad02 • 13h ago I have a trusted, highly recommended kennel I've used for 20 years. Its 45 minutes away, worth the drive. They stay together, I bring their own food. Pay extra for ball throwing hours. I do call every couple of days to check up on them. They need a vacation away from us and we need a vacation away from them. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. 4 18 Reply Share

13h ago Comes with or goes into boarding. He loves his boarding facility. When he's going back to his kennel, you'd think he was John Travolta at the beginning of Saturday Night Fever. 416 Reply ↑ Share DefiantThroat

Most_Fold_702 • 11h ago It's sad, but I can't travel anymore because there is no one that would watch my chihuahua that looks like a mini German Shepherd.

As for putting her in a kennel, I think she might have a permanent panic attack. 4 12 ¹ Reply ↑ Share ...

GRAN xDropperz. 12h ago If it's in the main 48 of the US and RV accessible, we take them with us. Otherwise, I pay my sister to come watch them because what college student doesn't want extra cash 49 ↓ Reply Share KatLin2021 13h ago We have one woman who is in love with Gordon. KotaCakes630 • 12h ago . I take that boy with me if I can! If I can't, he stays with my family (dad) who's his close to second favorite person. If I wasn't his first I think my dad would be his favorite. 463 Reply Share

TeeAlgarve Anna 12h ago Edited 11h ago Every single travel since I brought my German shepherd home she's gone with me. (Also bring my elderly cat) California to Europe, return flight from Europe back to California. California back to Europe. Southern Europe to west Germany. Return flight from west Germany back to southern Europe. I just make sure to stay 1 month at least to compensate them for the stress and discomfort of flying.

I have yet to find decent lodging facility for my beloved pets 4 ↓ + More replies Reply ↑ Share tacoperrito 12h ago We have 3 dogs (2 GSDs) our non GSD dog is from a Romanian shelter and anything resembling a cage he will not tolerate and becomes really agitated. My male GSD is very reactive to his emotions and would become protective of him. So we've never done those two in boarding. They come with or someone stays in the house with them. Then we rescued our girl last year and had to cancel a v

Playful Hand9407 • 12h ago We used to take ours with us everywhere, but he gets car sick and is extremely anxious in general. Over time we realized his consistent happiness is better than all the stress to get to one place where he is super happy (like the beach). Now he gets a live in sitter who adores him and makes him feel safe while we're gone. It's sad for us to know he would love that walk on the beach; but it feels better to know he's safe, solid, content and not stressed or scared. 43 ↓

JadedAmount • 11h ago We bring our girl with us whenever we can. Unless we are flying to where we need to go, then she goes to my in-laws aka "Grandma's house". She loves it there, she comes home a bit heavier, but it's where she is comfortable, and my MIL still holds onto my "one sheet" of our girls routine that I created a couple years ago 43 ↓ Reply Share ...
