If there's one group of people who knows how to be shady, it's parents. Parents aren't typically throwing shade at any rando who encounters their family. Instead, they're casting a glaring side-eye at other parents they deem inferior or superior in some way. You know the types…the ones who say, "My kid is "going to [insert local private school]; you're so you're letting your kids go to [insert local public school]." Or how ab"ut the ones who say, "Your kid i" so calm, are they medicated?" Little sl" comments like these might seem innocuous. Still, they rarely come from a good place.
My mom and dad were never passive-aggressive toward other parents. We talked sh*t about inferior families in private, as any self-respecting household should. But we were sometimes at the receiving end of such passive aggression, which can be funny in hindsight. Some parents recently took to Twitter to share the most patronizing parenting compliments they've received, and some of them are so wild you can't help but laugh.
