If you've ever read the Lord of the Rings books, you'll know that there are a few inconsistencies when compared to the movies. For starters, it's going to take you quadruple the brain power and 10x as many hours to enjoy the books and you'll find yourself constantly referencing which Elves we're talking about and which age all of this occurred in. When you read the books, you might find yourself becoming increasingly snarky, like when Gandalf talks to his ultimate foe, Pippin. And you might even find yourself fighting the urge to start smoking pipeweed to create elaborate smoke rings with your timeless buddies.
Regardless of how you choose to enjoy the Middle Earthian universe, we can all appreciate the story of a pair of Hobbits who saved the world. Unbeknownst to Frodo and Sam, they would light the way for all humanity in their quest to destroy the One Ring, and in doing so, inspire an age of Men who can appreciate heroic acts, loyalty, and a darn tootin' good breakfast.
Scroll onward to pay homage to those dear ol' Hobbits who shaped our world with one simple journey.
