Like many girls, I have once wondered if I was born in the wrong generation. I would love nothing more than to be twirling under the flashing lights of a discotheque, wearing flare pants, and listening to Donna Summer. I mean I guess I can do that now. But the disco era of the 70s is inspiring to me nonetheless. They understood how to move and groove. They knew how to keep a dance floor jumping.

And let us not forget the all-important disco ball, a many-mirrored sphere through which light is reflected into many dancing beams. It's the center of a party. I had a cheap Party City one in my college apartment, and every time we turned it on, life got a little better. Things were a little less harsh and a lot more groovy.
