Posted by u/i_want_that_boat Help me help you This is my dad's story, not mine, but it really makes me laugh. My dad used to be a bit of a hothead, but only when provoked.

He had a flooring business, and got a job carpeting an entire state building filled with offices people were currently working in, and they knew they'd need to get their stuff out. To help keep them stay organized while they were

relocating, my dad brought a ton of boxes and told everyone individually that they could use them to keep their papers organized. He would even help them pack up.

One office was occupied by a lawyer, who decided not to pack. My dad walked in, there were papers stacked high everywhere, and all over his desk. Dad explained the boxes, as he did with everyone, and offered to help. The lawyer was arrogant

and He scoffed, and said he didnt care. He wasnt going to move his stuff, said my dad needed to take care of it. My dad said "okay," grabbed one side of the desk, and flipped it over completely, stacks of papers flying everywhere. The lawyer looked at

him in disbelief. He said he didnt care, right? My dad threw everything messily into the boxes and threw the boxes outside the door. The lawyer couldnt do a thing about it, as he had told my dad to just take care of it. I can't imagine what it was like for that guy to have to go through all those papers again.

Grouchy-Ad4338 - 1 day ago Great one. Your dad 'turned the tables' on the lawyer. Served the guy well for feeling so entitled. Loved the story.

BeautifulPhantom1 18 hr. ago Made my day. Your dad is a hero for standing up to that arrogant lawyer. The lawyer got what he deserved, as trying to sort paperwork from who knows how many different cases is a nightmare.

i_want_that_boat OP. 18 hr. ago I agree. And the bottom line is he a wild, unorganized had stack of papers in the first place, clearly he could have been better to begin with. If he wanted to be decent at his job, he would have cared about keeping everything together and organized. He was a person, and probably a lawyer.

Accomplished-Ad3250 15 hr. ago The best thing is doing it to a lawyer is probably one of the safest things you can do. They know exactly how they f***** up. It's not like he was going to hit him either and drag a lawsuit in with a bunch of other lawyers in the office.

i_want_that_boat OP. 4 hr. ago Right. My dad didnt work for the lawyer. He worked for the people the lawyer works for. The lawyer wasn't following directions from his own boss to get his stuff out.

i_want_that_boat OP 1 day ago Yeah you're probably right. If the dude had to deal with his own messes, he would have cared more that one was getting made.

My dad was successful in his own right, though always blue collar. He always loved sticking it to people that thought they were above him. He isnt afraid of anyone.

VEarthAngel55 .22 hr. ago I wish I could have seen that lawyer's face when he did that! That had to be the most fulfilling thing! I bet he was grinning the whole time he did it!

MikeSchwab63 10 hr. ago I would not have messed up each stack. But I would have just moved each stack into a box as is, next stack on top, break when the box was full, and just kept moving. At a minimum, each paper should be in a labelled folder.
