The concept of excess is one of those things that is entirely context-dependent. For example, eating an entire sheet cake every night is probably a bad thing, but being overflowing with love for friends and family who appreciate you right back is an extremely worthwhile experience. Although not everyone may agree, I think there is something freeing about going the extra mile whether it's positive or negative. There are a lot of repressed people out there for whom going wild makes all the difference.

That being said, it's definitely best to stick to the less harmful ways of indulging in this practice. We would like to think that looking at memes is one of them. While it's true that you might lose some sleep (and your attention span), the enjoyment gained more than makes up for it. If you have any guilt, put it aside and have fun with another selection of random memes.
