Text Message Today 19:57 I need my cat back. My ex got rid of her without my permission while I was out to eat. Piper. Blank Scottish fold mix. We went through a bad divorce. She's registered to me. I believe you paid him a small fee. I will refund that. I spent over $2,000 on her. Today 22:37 LMFA0000000.. "I need my cat back," is CRAZY. It's been almost TWO YEARS. You finally back from dinner & realize your cat's gone? I've bonded with Piper, loved her; I've fed, groomed, snuggled, laughed at,

Ok It took this long because he wouldn't tell me who he gave her to. I never gave any advice it was probably whoever he is with, not me. Yes she is declawed she was scratching my child and had zero control over her nails they were always out. She had no issues with recovering from that it was done the same time she was spayed. I have all the adoption paperwork from the breeder as well as her vet records my ex husband had zero rights over her and i was not in contact with anyone, my ex never told

Hey yall. As the title states, this woman has reached out to me. She states that her husband sold her cat to me while she was gone and 'needs her cat back." She said that all before even introducing herself-which she never did.

i adopted my baby, Piper in August of 2022 from a pet adoption website. She was born in May 2020. Her previous owners had her declawed and had purchased her for $2,000 USD from a breeder. I purchased her for a small fee of $50 after being in contact with the previous owners who gave her away for "behavioral issues" with their children.

The other week I received these messages that this lady "paid a ton of money for 'that cat," and "needs her back," as her ex gave her away without her knowledge. My first couple texts were aggressive b/c I thought she was lying at first. My ex and I had been communicating with someone who we thought was this woman that sold us Piper, giving updates and sharing recent images.

Now I might believe her that her ex set her up, sold her cat, and pretended to be her texting us after the fact, but still in the end- that is NOT my problem. I feel terrible for her if this is true, and even urged her to look into taking him to civil court. I

adopted Piper without any knowledge that this may be a suspicious sale, or that anyone was losing their cat. I just found out (April 2024) after adopting her in August 2022. My baby has bonded with both me and my other cat and I am beyond well off enough to take great care of them both.

What this woman has is breeder documentation that states she purchased Piper. I have Piper microchipped with my information, as well as her recent vet statements the last couple years. We also found her on a legitimate website.

I guess my question is, can she legally come at me for anything? She declawed my baby and just reached out after years. Not to mention she supports breeding. I am more than ready to take this woman to court need be.

goosemommy 6 hr. ago the woman declawed the cat for behaviour issues, because she scratched the kid she mutilated the cat instead of teaching the kid to avoid the cat she doesn't talk about how she loved the cat, she only brings up the money spent i would never give the cat back

CarcajouCanuck 12 hr. ago This has got to be some sort of joke. That's not a $2000 cat. 4.0k Reply Share Top_Educator6401 OP 12 hr. ago Right!! like I love my PJ girl but... $2000 is the price of those exotic leopard-looking cats (I don't know the specific breed I am sorry lol) right? Like I don't even support breeders but there are sooo many black kitties at shelters.. and you paid $2000?

DueKindheartedness29 11 hr. ago If my cat was sold to someone who clearly loved him I wouldn't try to get him back. Especially if I had a crazy ex who got rid of him once.

slappychoppy 13 hr. ago $2k for a regular black cat. Wow. God forbid people rescue one of the thousands in shelters 1.2k Reply Share ... Yeldarb10 11 hr. ago When I (hopefully) get my second cat, they'll likely be a black kitty from the shelter. Plenty of those little voids to hold around. All very friendly and eager to be adopted.
