‘That’s the patriarchy!': Shrek Fandom in Hot Water as They Come to the Realization That Fiona Should NOT Have Turned Into an Ogre at the End

• There is one thing that millennials and Gen Z can agree on and it's the lovable ridiculousness of the classic film Shrek. An ogre and a princess, falling in love and fighting for that love and overcoming the impossible. It's a classic tale of love concurs all and that beauty on the inside is more important than what's on the outside. 

  However, the fandom is becoming woke in the underlying patriarchal tones weaved in this so-called “harmless” tale. That being said, millennials and Gen Z are over taking things seriously, so though the discussion is heated, everyone involved is still able to laugh about it. 

  Two besties having a little before-bed random thoughts discussion share their views on how Fiona should not have turned into an Ogre at the end of the movie. Why? Because she was born a human woman, desired to be her true self aka a human woman, but instead was transformed into an Ogre because of Shrek. Now does that seem fair?
