vanishingpointz OP. 15 hr. ago Poor girl had a litter of puppies when she was about a year old (a few months before I got her from the shelter). Her previous owners were c gs, bred her and most likely took them away too soon. Apparently she bit one of the owners and they dropped her off at the shelter. I'm glad she did. She's my buddy and probably would have been a good mother. She's Mama dog 1.2k Reply Share

tammytrex . 13 hr. ago Ours was rescued with a litter and it wasn't her first. Last year she very gently stole baby bunnies out of the nest and tried to claim them. We put them back and set a wide perimeter around the nest until they were all gone. It's amazing how motherly they can be. 351 Reply Share AbowlofIceCreamJones 5 hr. ago Oh my goodness, how unbearably sweet! 19 Reply Share

Cautious_Pepper_4602 · 14 hr. ago Could you foster some kittens or puppies for her? 331 Reply Share MasterpieceOk5492. 14 hr. ago She needs a kitten? Looking back, I wish I had done the same for my Doxie girl Trudie. 163 Reply Share

vanishingpointz OP. 8 hr. ago I was thinking about trying a kitten. She has issues with other dogs, which I'm working on but her behavior is pretty severe when she encounters any dog male or female. She was definitely a d. Hopefully over time she will relax a little. She's got it pretty good where we're at now, she gets spoiled and has room to run wild. 116 Reply Share ...

imthisguymike. 13 hr. ago I had a pitty mix, and she was somehow adopted from the shelter without getting fixed, and then dumped at the same shelter again when she was pregnant, and had her litter of puppies at the shelter. Then her puppies got adopted, and no one wanted her. When I got to the shelter, she was very scared, and she was sad. I went against the advice of the shelter and put my hand between the gate and the cinderblock wall, so she could sniff. Instead she put her paw on my hand, an

Burned_Biscuit . 14 hr. ago Become a foster! Lots of organizations need foster homes for puppies (in 2s or more) that aren't quite ready to be adopted yet. 235 Reply Share vanishingpointz OP. 8 hr. ago I wish I could trust her around other dogs but she hates them all. She's getting better with passing dogs on our walks but if we're riding down the road in the car and sees one she goes berserk. 46 Reply Share

succulescence - 8 hr. ago How is she with puppies? She seems to be treating this lil bun like a puppy. 15 Reply Share vanishingpointz OP. 7 hr. ago I haven't had a chance to integrate her with a puppy yet. She definitely wanted to take care of the little guy. She was cleaning it and would bring it back if it got close to the edge of the bed 38 Reply Share

Emmerdoes NOTrepme 12 hr. ago Her POSTURE in that first picture!!! That look of, "I'ma get in SO much trouble for this, but I WILL protect the baby!!!" Along with that look of "Please hooman, can we juuuuust protec THIS ONE and keep it safe?!?" in pictures 2 & 3!!! She is a SWEETHEART, with a giant marshmallow-heart, and YES, OP, if you are ever able? freemoney83 15 hr. ago Please try to bring the bunny back to its nest 115 Reply Share vanishingpointz OP. 14 hr. ago I did, there were 5 others. I had to cover the nest with large rocks to keep her from trying to bring them all inside. I left an opening for the mother to return. Last night she must have moved them all out of the nest. To a safer location 359 Reply Share

SweetCream2005. 11 hr. ago Honestly, if you're willing, rabbits are always being dumped, if their care is something you think you could handle, you could maybe get some rabbit friends for your dog, others suggested fostering puppies or kittens, obviously do what works best for you too! 8 Reply Share weisp 15 hr. ago Aww so sweet, please keep posting updates on these besties 26 Reply Share

SweetCream2005 11 hr. ago I wonder if the baby was alone when your dog found them. Poor thing. I'm a rabbit and pittie owner so this post really speaks to me! Since this is a wild animal I'd definitely see about getting checked for mites or fleas, ticks, etc 8 Reply Share vanishingpointz OP. 7 hr. ago There was a nest of 5 but I didn't realize it till we went out for a walk and she showed me where it was. I zoomed in on her face in the first pic and it's like she's thinking "Finally, a baby for my own I can love" 01 Reply Share vanishingpointz OP. 8 hr. ago The wind was blowing like crazy.
