Remember the marching band days? True nerdos and geeks joined the band in middle school. We just had a knack for the recorder in elementary school and got fired up by the prospect of playing something a little tougher than Hot Crossed Buns. I was a proud band geek–I played the flute–and I'll never forget the days of playing parades, marching in time, and wearing a goofy feather on my head. We may have been made fun of by the other jocks at school or the preppy kids, but they'll never know the imposing prowess of playing the Imperial March with 100 of your closest friends. Yeah, that's right–we band geeks had it all!
So if you're feeling nostalgic of your band days scroll onward. Even though your musical skills aren't what they used to be, I bet your heart soars every time you hear any song by Earth, Wind, and Fire backed up by a mean drum line, a heavy brass section, and those screaming trumpets. Thank your drum major!
