Oof, to keep your character alive in Dungeons and Dragons… well, it's no easy feat. Especially if the character in question is an 89-year-old human wizard at level 8, with 29 health. u/ranger934 took to r/dnd to express their concern over this character, whom they loved dearly. The human wizard's name is Wendel, and he decided to go adventuring after his wife passed. He wanted to enjoy himself until his own time came to join her in the next big adventure. It's a really wholesome storyline to be honest, and the Redditor goes on to describe more of their character's backstory. The thing is, in the Redditor's last session, they were in a dungeon and the human wizard took an AOE breath attack that instantly well, y'know, snuffed the poor fellow out.
The human wizard is 89, mind you. Human is the keyword here. So what can u/ranger934 do? Well, Reddit had lots of ideas. Scroll down to read all about it, and then check out this critical hit of Dungeons and Dragons memes.
