It's no secret that weddings are an expensive affair. From the dress to the venue to the flowers to the catering… you might be taking out a loan for your dream wedding. And that's just on the couple's side. A hidden expense that we're not talking about enough is wedding party expenses. If you've received the honor of being asked to join a bridal party, you better have a beefy savings account. Of course, you want to support your friends and family in their dream day, but when you're doing a few of these a year, the expenses really start to fly.
I'm of the opinion that you should have the wedding of your dreams that fits your budget, and that means paying for plane tickets/accommodations for your guests if you're hauling them to a far-off destination. Because it's not fair to expect them to pay. But that's just me! A recent Twitter thread exposed one woman's wedding spend, and it got some heated debate going.
